In Honor of National Coming Out Day: A Day of Ritual and Celebration in the Coming Out Journey

National Coming Out Ritual and Celebration

Our Vision:

In celebration of National Coming Out Day, we will have a day dedicated to sharing our stories and being supported in owning our sexual and gender identities. We will participate in a traditional sweat lodge ceremony to envision our futures, offering prayers for ourselves, loved ones, and allies on the Coming Out journey.

After the ceremony, we will gather for a potluck feast and celebration as a cherished community.

Join us for a traditional sweat lodge.

Bring clothing you can sweat in, such as a swimsuit or exercise shorts, as well as a couple of towels and dry clothes you can change back into. Come well hydrated.

Why Are Sweat Lodges Important? The sweat lodge has spiritual, cultural and practical purposes. It is a place to connect with the Creator and to nature, and restore order and balance in life.

The sacred lodge takes place in our beautiful back garden with Lone Peak towering above. A pot luck dinner follows, so be sure to bring an item to share. We will conclude late in the evening.

This lodge will focus on the sacredness of our being as Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Men.
